Rebuilding Resilience: Decon Completes Replacement Shelter for Vandalised Site

Jesse Falk
This week we saw RG Ladd (Decon’s switchboard and enclosures manufacturing division) put the finishing touches on a state-of-the-art communications shelter for one of our long-term valued clients. The shelter serves as a replacement for a site that unfortunately fell victim to vandalism and subsequent fire in Melbourne's outer suburbs.

Telecommunications shelters play a vital role in safeguarding a wide range of communications equipment and we pride ourselves on designing and manufacturing shelters that adhere to the highest industry standards. These weather-tight, secure, insulated, and durable structures ensure optimal protection for critical infrastructure.

With the shelter’s steel components fabricated and powder-coated in-house by our dedicated sheet metal division, this shelter serves as a reliable haven for essential equipment and telecommunications systems. From data storage to cutting-edge communication technologies, the shelter is purpose-built to accommodate the diverse needs of our clients. This important shelter, in particular, is a repeater site that extends the range of radio communications for essential emergency services such as Fire, Ambulance and SES.
